After graduating from Monmouth College and participating in three sports in her college career, she continued to bring that love of athletics to her teaching tenure by coaching many sports.

While coaching varsity basketball in high school, she has won over 275 games.  Her teams have won 4 conference championships, 3 regional championships and twice she led her team to the Sweet 16 in the state of Illinois.  Coach Schroeder Ranz was recognized as coach of the year for her region by the IBCA in two different seasons.

She is very excited about the challenges coaching in college bring and is looking forward to building the Skyhawk program.  “I have always been intrigued by what coaching in college would be like and I am ecstatic about the opportunity to coach the Skyhawks.  I hope to bring the women’s basketball program to the level the other Sauk teams are achieving. I am equally excited to mentor these young women and watch them grow.”

Coach Schroeder Ranz currently teaches at Sterling High School as the Alternative School Instructor and resides in Sterling with her husband Ted.
